We have over 34 years experience catering for private and corporate events ranging from canapé and cocktail receptions to wedding banquets, intimate social gatherings, staff parties and family barbecues.
We offer a bespoke menu planning service, with taster sessions available on request. We are able to set up our kitchen and traditional Persian barbecues to cater at your chosen venue.

Since the inception of Magic of Persia, Hafez Restaurant has been our chosen caterer. From intimate dinners to larger events, Farshid Ziafat has ensured that we are provided with efficient service and consistently delicious food.
We have listed below some of the most frequently asked questions pertaining to our catering and event service. If you have any other questions or requests, please get in touch with us and we will be happy to help.
Do you supply catering staff for an event?
We cannot supply waiting/serving staff for your event. We supply the chefs/staff required to prepare, cook and serve the food to either a service area or to the buffet table. Any additional serving staff will need to be sourced by the client.
Do you supply cutlery and crockery?
We cannot supply crockery, cutlery or table linen. These items must be sourced by the client.
Is the full menu available for an event?
The full menu is available – however, we can offer a set menu with a choice of starters and main course plus rice, bread and salad. A bespoke menu service is also available and we are always happy to advise. We cannot supply Persian tea or coffee. If unfamiliar with Persian cuisine it would be wise to first visit the restaurant to sample and further discuss a menu for your event.
How far do you travel for an event?
We have a limit of a 100 mile radius from W2. This may be negotiable depending on the size of the event and the number of people.
Do you have a minimum charge per head?
We have a minimum price of £800 for outside catering/private functions. The price per head starts from £35 plus travel costs, depending on number of guests, chosen menu and postcode area.
Is there a minimum charge/delivery cost for a take away?
The minimum order for a take away is £25. Delivery charges are as follows:
- Up to one mile – £3
- 1.1 – 1.5 miles – £5
- 1.6 – 2 miles – £6
Are you insured and do you have Public Liability Insurance?
We have all the required documents and our Public Liability Insurance is 5 million. We do however advise that you inform your venue that we will be cooking outside on charcoal BBQs and will require a designated 3m x 3m outside area away from buildings to set up our gazebo kitchen and BBQs.
